PROJECT BRIEF

The focus of my senior project is redesigning my grandparents’ old home. It is inspired by childhood memories of the time I spent with my grandparents.

The title of my project is Paper Plane. When I was little, I was always fascinated by airplanes. I loved watching them soaring through the sky, taking people wherever they wanted to go. But at the end of the day, my favorite airplanes were the ones that I made by hand. Nothing could compare to the exhilaration I felt when, with a flick of the wrist, my paper planes took flight.

What we have accomplished today is built upon the ingenuity of the many generations that came before us. I hope that my project can help us remember that no matter how advanced our technology has become and how comfortable our lives are now, we should always remember the “old fashioned days” from which we sprung.
